Eclitorial Share of Energy Sources in The Energy Mix Are Adjusting Their selves Turkey is a beautiful and rich country with above ground energy sources. I.e. wind, rivers, sun, geothermal, biogas and biomass. Underground sources in Asia and Middle East will be eıthausted but Turkey's beautiful nature and above ground resources will never be eıthausted. Our government have pushed significant number of draft of Law to the Parliament concerning renewable Energy sources to be used for power generation. At the end of the day, these efforts have started to give their fruits. We witness that: ■ Total wind power (installed capacity has reached to 1486 MW in 2010, another 1000 l\ıfW capacity is under construction. Total 2500 M\'{/ capacity new wind plants have provided licenses and they are going to start construction works soon. ■ Almost 800 hydro projects (small or medium scale) are either under engineering or under construction. Some of them had some burdens with environmentalists, because they are polluting around during construction period or damaging environment. Building the hydro plant doesn't give at ali the right of deteriorating the natural beauty to investors. ■ Turkey is very rich with biomass and with agricultural residues. Total weight of agro residue reaches to 10 million tones. This natural source of energy can be used to power generation. Thus, more than 10,000 GWh electricity can be generated. Since, the 1O year purchasing guarantee is given and high feed-in tariff 13.3 US cent/k\Xfh) is accepted by the Law No:6094, we believe that, we will see the construction of so many biomass plants around, firing, corn stalks, cotton stalks, wheat or rye straws. ■ The most promising energy investments of the future are solar Energy investments. Unit installation cost per KW is in declining. We believe that in todays, unit investınent cost (1400- 1600 €/KW) will be further decreased by very much intensive R&D efforts. Consequently, solar Energy investments will become feasible soon. This development will encourage new investors again. Thus, the share of solar energy in "Energy Mix" will be grown by the time. At the end of these developments, the share of the generated renewable energy is moving upwords, but doesn't provide the security of supply. Because, renewable sourced power plao.ts_a.te_ not based load plauts. Ilıat .is why, so .mauy..ııew combined eyde plants license applications are recorded Summaries nowadays. In 6 months (this year) total 10,600 M\Xf capacity CCPP applications are been unregistered to EMRA. Because existing gas price of 32 US cent/m3 is making high tech. combined eyde plants very feasible. As far as gas supply to tl1e huge new capacity, we believe that Botaş and gas importers (import license owners) should cooperate to provide the security of supply in natural gas. Best Regards, Actual 17'h ICCI 2011 Conference and Exhibition Held The 17th of the ICCI Conference and Exhibition held with enhanced content, as Energy and Environmental Tedınology Systems Fair and Conference at Is tan bul Expo Center on June 15-16-17, 2011. 217 eıthibitors and 12.263 visitors had been at fair for 3 days.
