Resources Taner Yıldız, EPDK Presiclent Hasan Köktaş, AKP IstanbuJ representative Hakan Şükür, Depuey Chairman of the Privatizaton Board Ahmet Aksu, Chairman of tl1e Ankara Chamber of Industry Nurettin Özclebir, businessmen and EPDK members. lnternational Energy Agency Chıef Economist Dr. Fatih Birol Presented anAnalysis of The Global Energy Markets The meeting far tlıe presentation of the \Y/orld Energy Outlook 201 1 report prepared annually by the International Energy Agency and contains analysis regarding tlıe current and future status of tlıe global energy markees was held at Sabancı Center on December 1st. We share witlı our readers, the details of tlıe meeting during which Imernational Energy Agency Chief Economist Dr. Fatih Birol shared imporcam information regarding tl1e energy sector witl1 the audience. Resources changed witlı ehe decree bylaw dated 2 ı ovember 2011. As a result of eh.is change, the General Directorate of Electric Power Resources Survey and Development Administration is closecl and General Directorate of Petroleuın Affairs is converted into a general directorate under the organization structure of tl1e ıninistry. Majoriey of duties and responsibilities of the General Directoraee of Electric Power Resources Survey and Development Aclministration are transferred to the newly established General Directorate of Renewable Energy Resources. Alsa, Department far Implementation of Nuclear Energy Projects is established as part of the ministry. Waste and Recycling Sector Met at IWES 2011 IWES 2011- The 3rd Waste Technologies Symposium and Exhibition organized far the 3rd time by Sektöre! Fuarcılık was held successfully between 2-3 lovember. As pare of tl1e exhibition part of ehe event ebat was held at Istanbul Wow Convention Center, 73 coınpanies exhibitecl their products and technologies with tl1e visitors. Around 2000 visitors attended tl1e event tlıae lasted 2 days. Among the participants of IWES 2011 were ehe Ministry of Environment ancl Urban Affairs, Miniscry of Econoınics, Energy l\Iarkets Regulation Board, l\Iarmara Union of Municipalities, Turkish World Union of Municipalities, Istanbul Mecropolitan Municipality, and institutions like İZAYDAŞ and İSTAÇ as well as majors from numerous countries including Kazakhstan, Kosovo and Pakistan. As part of ehe event thae lasted 2 days, 12 sessions, 1 panel and a ıninistry-sector meeting was held in 3 halis.
